All black
and white photographs are archivally processed hand pulled selenium toned, gelatin/silver
prints made from original photographic negatives by Robb Siverson. Prints are
window matted with 4-ply, acid- free mat board. All prints are signed in
pencil on the front of the photograph at the lower right corner of the
print. No digital manipulation is used at any stage of the process.

When You Can't Stop Thinking About Nothing
View
this Collection
"When
You Can't Stop Thinking About Nothing" is from an ongoing series that
started in 2002. With this particular
body of work, subjects are allowed to wander in obscure, sometimes
uncomfortable situations. With drawn out titles, evoking an intimate frame of
mind, a variety of aspects concerning the human psyche are captured on
film. A unique chemical process is
then applied creating a painterly quality to the image, making each photograph
a truly unique one of a kind.

Bromide Stained Landscapes
View
this Collection
The Bromide Stained Landscape is one of my recent
bodies of work that captures the ironic nature of Humanity's interaction with
the environment. These environments are often overlooked and ignored, abused
and taken for granted. The same chemicals that Humanity is thoughtlessly
discarding into nature are used here to conjure forth subtle hues of color to
the photographic paper, developed through a process of besieging the
traditional gelatin silver print with chemically treated brushes and sponges.
Through this process what would normally destroy natural beauty instead calls
into being a cornucopia of concealed colors. This technique creates a
one-of-a-kind image that transforms the traditional black and white photograph
into a representational form of reality.

Bromide Reproductions
View
this Collection
After photographing the image with his large and
medium format cameras, Robb manipulates the print with a process known as
"Bromide Staining." This is a unique chemical process that adds
subtle hues of color to the traditional black and white photographic paper,
which leaves the image with a painterly quality. Using the original image, Robb
then scans the photograph with a highly calibrated scanner, which is then
reproduced on Fuji Crystal Archive photographic paper.
